This past week our cousins, the Straub family (Jason, Michelle and baby Evalyn) came for a visit. We were so excited to have them considering Clint and Evalyn have been friends since they were in our bellies! Remember this? Well now we are blessed with these two! While they were visiting, we also took a trip to see our grandparents in Granite Shoals. It was so nice to surprise them with their two newest great-grandchildren! We had a nice lunch together and then went down for pictures by the lake: Look at what a cutie our cousin Evalyn is! We had such a nice time with the other family of three and plan to visit Brownsville soon to return the favor. We love you guys! Come visit any time!
And on a Clint note, look what his new favorite thing to do is:
I know I owe you a good post and I promise it's coming! We have a whole visit with our cousins, the Straub family, to post about. But for now, I thought you might like to see just how appreciated I am at the Red Cross. I came in to THIS yesterday. It's how we show our love for each other! HAHAHA
He's doing wonderful and his doctor is very pleased with his growth. He also got 3 shots and one vaccination by mouth. The picture is us sad because our sweet boy is hurting and crying from the shots... but at least he got two big boy bandaids! :)
And finally, here are a couple of smiles to brighten your day!
Can you believe our sweet boy came in to this world two whole months ago?!? Time is just flying by! Here are some facts about Clint on his 2 month birthday:
- He is finally on a schedule. We fed on-demand for the first 8 weeks, and this past week we switched to a strict schedule to start helping him sleep through the night (Amen!) and help him transition to daycare in a couple of weeks.
- He has about 6 feedings a day, with one being in the middle of the night and only being 3 oz, the rest are 5 oz (or more if he wants it...one time he took SEVEN!)
- He is starting to talk a lot more and sometimes doesn't know where to take the sounds he's making except elevating them in to a cry. It's kinda funny. haha
- He is starting to hold on to stuff and is discovering his hands! Here's evidence:
- Carter's 3 month clothes fit him best, although the pants are too big in the waist but long enough in the legs. He can also fit in to some 3-6 month things! He's long and skinny!
We go on Wednesday for his 2 month appointment, so I will update the blog then with his new height and weight. I'm so excited to find out how much he's grown!
Erin and Brian met after the A&M vs. t.u. football game on November 23, 2005. Two and a half years later, the Bailey family officially began on May 17, 2008 when Brian and Erin were married in San Antonio, Texas. Brian works as an Engineer and Track Maintenance Manager for Union Pacific Railroad and Erin works as the Disaster Preparedness Coordinator for the San Antonio Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. They were blessed with their first son on August 26, 2009. They also have a Jack Russell named Harvey Jack who was their first baby!
